A catch-all feature that is activated for a certain email mailbox will allow you to receive emails that are sent to addresses that do not actually exist. To put it differently, if you remove an email address and someone still sends an email to it, or to any miswritten address under the very same domain, you’ll get the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature implies that you will no longer miss an email for any reason, which could be crucial in case you are running a company, for example. Since you may begin receiving spam messages, you can use the catch-all feature with email filters so as to get only authentic messages in your inbox. Only one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

If you host a domain on our cloud platform and you’ve got a cloud hosting account, you’ll be able to enable the catch-all functionality for any e-mailbox that you create under the domain name. The Email Manager section of the Hepsia hosting Control Panel includes quite a few functions, but it is astonishingly easy to use, so configuring a catch-all mailbox requires only a click. All the email addresses that you’ve got will be enumerated in this section in alphabetical order and you will only need to click the "Catch-all" button for the respective email address. Our system will warn you if there is already another catch-all mailbox activated for that domain or if the one that you want to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding activated, so you can either deactivate the latter feature or select a different mailbox. Disabling the catch-all option is just as easy and takes one more click on the same button.
